Our farm is one of the expert for this kind of Adenium. We have many lines of product as the following.
Yak Yipoon (ยักษ์ญี่ปุ่น) - Somalens var. Somalense
Place of origin of this kind of Adenium that was brough into Thailand are Zania Somalia and Kenya. This kind of Adenium have their chacteristics different from the other kinds of Adenium obviously eg. big stem and tall, less number of branchs, tappering leave, no down, dark green color leave and have obviously line. For flower, their size are not big and have many branchs of pollen in yellow color.
Usualy this kind of Adenium will give a lot of flowers and can glow from major branch and plant's stem. There's some record about somalense that founded in Africa, the height is 5 metres and size of stem up to 80 cm.
Here is a kinds of Somalense in our nursery
1. Somalense Silver Leave
| color of leave are silver, no down, tappering and sharp at end. |
| give a lot of flower, medium size, dark red color with obviously yellow line inside. |
| when the flower bloom, almost leave will removed. |
| difficult in pod giving, size of pod is big and shape of seed is tapering. |
| seedling plant always have the same characteristics as mother plant and big stem. |
2. Somalense Golden Leave
| dappled leave mixed with white green and yellow. |
| shiny leave and roll, no down, tappering and sharp at end. |
| strong and white color of stem. |
| give a lot of flower, medium size, pink color with obviously yellow line inside, deeppink petal and yellow cone. |
| moderate in pod giving, size of pod is big and shape of seed is tapering. |
| seedling plant may not have a color of leave as their mother plant and fast glowing. |
3. Somalense Red Trunk
| big stem, red brown color of stem and branchs. |
| shiny leave, no down, green color, tappering and round at end and have obviously middle line. |
| give a lot of flower, small size, pink color, red petal and cone. |

4. Somalense Wall
| at the end of branch will have small branch and look like wall or finger. |
| light green color of leave, tappering and have obviously middle line. |
